1/7/2024 0 Comments Lower control armWe have also made the V2 arms stronger to cater for high loads that the FLCA's can see when drifting. Caster can now be adjusted in situ without the need to disconnect the heim joint for adjustment. What's the difference between your V1 and these V2?Īfter selling over 500 sets of our V1's we have added the much requested "on car adjustment". You are also welcome to get in touch if you need help.īut apart from that, remove your standard LCA's and compression rods and the LCA's will bolt straight in. We also include an assembly guide on most product pages, that can be seen above. They are quite easy to install but mechanical knowledge is required and recommended. Our lower control arms can support around 65 degrees of steering lock! How much angle can I get out of these LCA's? NOTE - On low cars with the arms at their shortest length, please ensure you have adequate clearance between the arm and the subframe. Strut mount relocated inward 30mm for caliper clearance On car adjustable in both length and caster Reduced ‘fall to lock syndrome’ being a 1pc design We also include dust boots to protect the rose/ heim joints and have lock stops built into the arm for those that want to dial down the fun.įinally, the arms are E-coated (electrophoresis coating) for rust prevention. We also use our high misalignment rose/ heim joints to allow the arm to rotate freely. We still use, as we do all our arms, common sized PTFE bearings throughout the arm, which can be found locally, however, we do have them on the shelf should you wish to carry spares. To assist with clearance we have moved the strut mount further inward 30mm so this limiting factor is no longer prevalent. These arms have been designed with the OEM knuckle in mind, meaning they will work with our bolt on steering kit which uses the OEM knuckle.Ī limiting factor with the OEM LCA is the strut to knuckle position in that the brake caliper is prone to hitting the strut when on full on lock. These arms are adjustable, at their minimum length they start at 0.98' (+25mm) over OEM and adjust out to 1.96' (+50mm) from OEM. Going to a one piece design also has allowed us to increase the caster angle by 2-3 degrees and this can be further increased by our front upper camber arms which have the adjustment to increase caster by up to 1 degree. By switching to a 1pc design the kinematics are altered which makes for a design that will not bind at high angle and does not cause the steering to fall onto lock, both traits of the OEM 2pc design. We have replaced the dual OEM arms and made ours one piece. These arms are designed based off CMM data, they are CAD designed, FEA tested, have CNC machined ends and the main body is laser cut and bent from 4130 Chromoly Steel. The GKTECH Z33 Super Lock front lower control arms (LCA) simplify, improve and replace the front lower control arm and compression rods on the 350z/G35, while also supporting around 65+ degrees of steering lock.
